How interesting! My great-grandfather William Bryan Robbins met my great-grandmother Marie Lewis by driving the hearse for her maternal grandfather's funeral (John Wilkinson) in 1917 in Muskegon, Michigan (not too far from Grand Rapids). His occupation at that time was listed as chauffeur, so I imagine the hearse was an automobile.
How very interesting back at you!
Don't think I've ever heard of a romance that began at a funeral, but you're here as evidence of the fact love triumphs.
Thanks for the great story.
