Color Splash
Tammi Thiele
I recently discover a new tool to help enhance some of my photographs. It’s a fun little tool called Color Splash. I use the one on www.photobucket.com . It is a free photo editing website that offers a few interesting tools.
First you uploading the photo you want to alter to Photobucket. I have chosen this one.
Once the photo is uploaded select the photo from your album at the bottom of the photo will be an edit tab. Next crop to the size you want using the crop selection from the Basic options tab. Then Select Color Splash from the options under the Effects tab. Once you select Color Splash it turns your photo to black and white. Like this one.
Now that the photo is in black and white, move your mouse over the photo. You will see a black dot. This dot is your paintbrush. You use it to color over the area you want the color splash to be by holding down the left button on your mouse. Be careful because anywhere that black dot touches it brings back the color. You can adjust the brush size using the slide bar on the right of the screen.
Once you have your color finished you can use the other options such as contrast, exposure etc. Here is my finished photo.
Finally save your copy, located beneath the photo in the editing window. Then move your mouse over the saved photo and at the top left corner a file option appears. This allows you to download your finished photo to your computer.
Now go have fun and Color Splash some photos.

Very cool tool!
I tried this before with my laptops mousepad to no avail. Now I know to hold down the left button! Thanks.
