West Point Cemetery
Kingman County, Kansas
I often see rural cemeteries like this. So many questions run through my mind when I come upon them.
· Were the stones gathered up to make mowing easier?
· Were they collected after vandalism?
· Does anyone know where the graves are in the cemetery?
· Where will these stones be in 10 years?
It is my hope that my photos, few as they may be, will preserve a part of someone’s history. I have these photos on my flickr site categorized by collections. Each collection is a state and county with the sets being each cemetery I have taken photographs in. Stop by and see if you find anyone you know. Fellow researcher, Russ Worthington, recently found his GG Grandfather’s resting place among my photos. J. Whitall Reeve was born in PA and rests in KS.
